Summer on Brush Mountain is quiet and rich. The Rocky Mountains are filled with wildlife and Brush Mountain Ranch offers an incredible opportunity to enjoy the scenery, fish in the ponds, take a hike, swim beneath Slater Falls, or simply listen to the quakies rustle from the porch of your cabin. The Routt National Forest boundary is directly adjacent to our own 4,000 acres so bring your mountain bike, your hiking boots, your camera, your horses (we have a fully equipped corral and pasture for them too), and explore!
Brush Mountain Ranch operates Whispering Pine Lodge as a Bed and Breakfast in the summer months (from May to August). We offer our cabins and facilities on a per night basis to individuals, families and groups. Kirsten, our cook in the summer months will fix you up a warm healthy breakfast each morning and help you to find the right trail to hike for the day or suggest a good book to read in the hammock out back. For your afternoon and evening meals, we encourage you to bring food that you can prepare in the kitchenette in your cabin, or consider taking a drive into Baggs, Wyoming to have a dinner at one of the local restaurants.
For heartier campers, we also offer a number of rustic campsites throughout the mountain. Please see Accommodations for more details.
Reserve your cabin or campsite today and bring your family out to experience the Rocky Mountain wilderness. Fishing – There are now 7 spring-fed ponds on Brush Mountain. Mike has spent a great deal of time and energy to make these habitats friendly environments for the wildlife on the mountain. Some of the ponds have been stocked with brook trout and are available for fishing trips on a catch-and-release basis. In addition, Slater Creek runs through the property and offers a number of excellent opportunities to catch some nice ‘brookies’.
